Mesut Ozil is in line to make his first Premier League start in seven weeks when Arsenal host Manchester City on Sunday.
Ozil has been sidelined by a combination of illness, foot and hamstring injuries that caused him to miss successive 3-1 defeats by Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion but manager Arsene Wenger says the playmaker is back in training and raring to go.
“He is in contention to start again,” Wenger told Arsenal.com. “He played 20 minutes with Germany in Azerbaijan and he came back focused and worked very hard this week."
Sixth-placed Arsenal's home encounter with Man City, who lie seven points above them in third, takes place at 4pm BST on Sunday.
