Brentford head coach Thomas Frank says the Premier League Summer Series is key to his side's preparations as they aim to "attack the league" from the opening weekend.
Brentford are one of six Premier League clubs taking part in the pre-season tournament in the USA from 22-30 July, with the Bees facing Fulham in Philadelphia, Brighton and Hove Albion in Atlanta and Aston Villa in Landover, Maryland.
As they prepare to fly out on Monday, Frank told the club's official website: "It's going to be a very good experience. It’s the first time we’re going to go that far abroad.
"There are a lot of things we need to take into account: the time difference, the heat, the humidity over there in the States.
“It's about preparing the team to be ready to fly and attack the league next season. I’m looking forward to it."
Frank hopes his Brentford team, who finished ninth in the Premier League last season, will put on a show and win more fans in the US.
Asked how excited he is to play in the States, he said: "Massively, especially when you hear the stories about the American fans and how much they are into football, as well as of course the Bees fans over there.
"We're going to play three very good games and it's going to be good for the branding of the club: it's a market over there that I think is important to go to and explore.
"We really appreciate [our American fans'] support and hopefully we will get more fans - that's the aim."
