The former Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday player Chris Bart-Williams has passed away at the age of 49.
A classy central midfielder, Bart-Williams was in the Premier League from the start of the competition and played in eight seasons, featuring in 211 matches, scoring 22 times and providing 19 assists.

Most of his Premier League career was spent with Wednesday and Forest, but he also appeared for Charlton Athletic between 2001-03.
"It’s with great sadness to hear of my dear friend Chris Bart-Williams passing," said Sol Campbell, who played with Bart-Williams in England youth teams, in a message on Instagram. "This man was an incredible player with an infectious laugh to go with it! Such a kind human being my heart goes out to his family and many many friends in football! rest in peace Bart!"
"R.I.P. Chris, love you Bartman! My lil brother we shared such great moments and I truly am devastated at the extremely sad news!" former Forest star Kevin Campbell added on Twitter.
