Moussa Diaby enjoyed a dream debut by scoring a goal to help Aston Villa earn a 2-0 win over Fulham in Orlando in the Premier League Summer Series.
Signed from Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend, the 24-year-old France international came on at half-time, with the score at 1-0 following a goal from Jaden Philogene-Bidace, the academy product who also caught the eye against Newcastle United on Summer Series Matchday 1.
Diaby's goal came in the 73rd minute as he raced on to a long pass from Douglas Luiz, took a couple touches and smashed into the bottom right corner of the net.
The margin of victory could have been even bigger for Villa had Cameron Archer not been thwarted from the penalty spot by Bernd Leno.
But it was a good win for a Villa side who also handed first starts to Pau Torres and Youri Tielemans, whom was mic'ed and camera'ed up during his debut earlier this week, as you can see below.
The win puts Villa top of the table, above Chelsea on goal difference, meaning they could win the Summer Series by beating Brentford, who have lost both of their matches, on Sunday in Landover.
