Harry Kane scored four times as Tottenham Hotspur earned an emphatic 5-1 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in their penultimate match of pre-season.
New head coach Ange Postecoglou, managing Spurs at home for the first time, saw his side take the lead shortly before the break, as Kane converted his first of the afternoon from the penalty spot after James Maddison had been fouled.
The visitors were level on the stroke of half-time, but Maddison and then Dejan Kulusevski each set up Kane to score twice in quick succession five minutes after the restart.
Kane added his fourth with a close-range finish on 79 minutes, before Dane Scarlett’s turn and shot in stoppage time completed the win.
