Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has revealed winger Michael Olise has ended speculation about his future by signing a new four-year contract.
Olise was reportedly a target for Chelsea after impressing for Palace over the last two seasons.
But Parish said on Instagram today: "I’m absolutely delighted to announce [Michael Olise] has decided to commit his future to Crystal Palace Football Club and this afternoon signed a new four-year deal with the club."
Manager Roy Hodgson told the club's official website: "It's the best possible news we could have. The decision has been his [Olise's]. I must congratulate Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman on a fantastic job."
Aged only 21, Olise has already made 63 Premier League appearances, scoring four goals and providing 16 assists.
No Under-21 player in Europe’s top five leagues provided more assists last season than his 11.
The Frenchman also won the January 2023 Budweiser Goal of the Month award for his stunning free-kick against Manchester United.
Olise is currently recovering from a hamstring injury sustained during this summer's UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
