Wright: The north London derby is set up perfectly

There’s no slowing down the Premier League as we head into a jam-packed Matchweek 6.

The biggest match of the weekend is the first round of the North London derby this season as Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

A heated rivalry no matter the occasion, the match will take on some extra spice with both clubs in the top four, level on points and unbeaten in 2023/24.

Arsenal ended their recent run of poor results against Everton with a 1-0 win at Goodison Park last Sunday to vault back into the top four, while Spurs are coming off their extreme late-match heroics.

Super sub Richarlison was the inspiration last time out, stepping off the bench to help Spurs complete the latest comeback in Premier League history to defeat Sheffield United with two goals in the 107th and 110th minute of stoppage time. The intensity of this derby is always off the charts and Sunday will be no different.

Another strong matchup will take place on Sunday as Liverpool welcome West Ham United to Anfield. The Reds are on a 16-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League going back into last season, a 10-match difference between the next longest streak.

Their unbeaten run was fully tested last weekend as Wolverhampton Wanderers took an early lead over Jurgen Klopp's side, but three unanswered goals by Liverpool side kept them tied on points for second place.

They now face a West Ham side that surged before running into Manchester City last weekend. David Moyes and company gave it their all against the league champions and will look to do the same again at Anfield on Sunday.
