Three Liverpool fans swapped Anfield for Buffalo, New York, to experience an NFL gameday as part of the Premier League and NFL's Discovering Football series.
Hosted by the legendary John Lang, better known as "Bills Elvis" - a Buffalo Bills superfan who has just missed four games since 1992 - the Liverpool fans immersed themselves into the passion and traditions of a Bills playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens, from pep rallies to tailgate culture.
They also learned what it means to be a Bills supporter, as well as listen to stories from the amazing people at the heart of the city and the sport.
In return, the Liverpool fans introduced Bills supporters to the highs and lows of following the Reds, watching Liverpool’s dramatic 2-0 win at Brentford together with supporters at a local Buffalo bar.
The two sets of fans also compared the importance of the clubs to their cities, and how Buffalo and Liverpool - and therefore their two teams - are much more similar than people would think, despite the differences in the two sports and cultures around them.
And the exchange isn’t over yet. Stay tuned to watch the sequel as on 8 March, Bills fans will make the return trip to Anfield to experience firsthand what matchday means on Merseyside, taking in the Premier League fixture against Southampton.
