Mohamed Salah became the highest-scoring player for a Premier League club in major European competition as he struck in Liverpool’s 5-1 UEFA Europa League home win over Toulouse.
Salah came off the bench to net in stoppage time, taking his tally to 43 goals in Europe for the Reds, one more than the previous record-holder Thierry Henry managed for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, goals from Joao Pedro and Ansu Fati secured Brighton & Hove Albion's first ever win in European football as they defeated Ajax 2-0.
West Ham suffered their first Europa League defeat of the season, losing 2-1 to Olympiacos in Greece but remaining top of Group A.
And Aston Villa recorded a second successive Conference League win as they beat AZ Alkmaar 4-1 to move top of Group E with six points.
How Liverpool's match unfolded
Diogo Jota put Liverpool ahead on nine minutes, but Toulouse were level seven minutes later through Thijs Dallinga.
The Reds then struck twice in four minutes, Wataru Endo heading in his first goal for the club before Darwin Nunez made it 3-1 in the 34th minute.
Ryan Gravenberch, who was superb throughout, struck a fourth on 65 minutes and Salah's late strike completed a third win from three Europa League matches in Group E this season.

How Brighton's match unfolded

But Joao Pedro netted his fourth Europa League goal this season, when he fired in three minutes before half-time against Ajax.
Brighton added a second on 53 minutes as Fati netted for the second consecutive match.

How West Ham's match unfolded
West Ham's hosts Olympiakos were without a win in their previous six home matches against English clubs in major European competition, since a 2-1 win in the UEFA Champions League over Manchester United in February 2014.
But they looked determined to change that and Kostas Fortounis struck the first goal from 25 yards just after the half-hour mark.
Things got worse for the Hammers moments before the break, when Angelo Ogbonna put the ball into his own net.
West Ham struggled for a response and had to wait until the 87th minute to pull one back, courtesy of a brilliant Lucas Paqueta volley. They were unable to find an equaliser.
David Moyes' team will aim to bounce back from successive defeats in all competitions when they host Everton on Sunday.

How Villa's match unfolded
Unai Emery’s side were rewarded for a bright start with two well-taken goals in the opening 20 minutes against AZ Alkmaar.
Leon Bailey fired in the opener, before Youri Tielemans scored his first goal for the club when he slotted between the legs of former Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan.
Ollie Watkins made it 3-0 six minutes after the break, pouncing after Bailey’s shot had been parried.
John McGinn tucked in from close range on 56 minutes, before Ibrahim Sadiq rifled in a 65th minute consolation for the hosts.
Villa return to Premier League action on Sunday, aiming to extend their unbeaten run in the competition to six matches when they host Luton Town.
