A visit to AFC Bournemouth earns Newcastle United duo Kieran Trippier (£7.0m) and Anthony Gordon (£5.7m) places in the best XI for Gameweek 12 of Fantasy Premier League.

Trippier has averaged 9.0 points per match in his last seven outings on his way to the top of the defender standings.

Winger Gordon, meanwhile, could be set to play up front for the Magpies, with Callum Wilson (£7.9m) a doubt and Alexander Isak (£7.4m) ruled out.
Trippier and Gordon take their places in a 3-5-2 line-up, with Erling Haaland (£14.0m) handed the armband and Son Heung-min (£9.6m) named vice-captain.
David Raya (Arsenal) £4.8m
The Arsenal goalkeeper entertains Burnley on the back of three successive home clean sheets in all competitions. Raya’s average of 4.6 points per match (ppm) is superior to his 4.4ppm from last season, when he was the top-scoring goalkeeper in Fantasy on 166 points.

Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) £7.0m
Trippier’s set-piece duties lift his potential as a captaincy contender for Gameweek 12. AFC Bournemouth have conceded 61 shots from such situations, more than any other side.
Joachim Andersen (Crystal Palace) £5.1m
Crystal Palace’s centre-back offers multiple routes to returns at home to Everton. Andersen sits second in the defender standings on 59 points, combining two goals and an assist with five clean sheets and nine bonus points.
Konstantinos Tsimikas (Liverpool) £4.6m
Liverpool’s left-back offers strong potential at both ends of the pitch against Brentford. Tsimikas has collected a clean sheet in both his home starts and also boasts a share of set-piece duties in the absence of Andrew Robertson (£6.4m).
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £12.9m
Salah's flawless record at Anfield this season makes him one of the best captain options for Gameweek 12. At home, he has averaged 9.4ppm over his five home appearances and has totalled 47 points, joint-top among all players in Fantasy.
Son Heung-min (Spurs) £9.6m
Tottenham Hotspur’s South Korean has delivered three double-figure hauls in four away matches since being moved up front. Son is the top-scoring player on the road this season, scoring six goals to claim 52 points ahead of his visit to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal) £7.7m
Doubts over the fitness of Bukayo Saka (£8.6m) earn the Brazilian a place in the selection for the first time this season. Having assisted Saka’s goal against Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, Martinelli has blanked just once in his last four home appearances in all competitions.

Moussa Diaby (Aston Villa) £6.8m
Aston Villa’s Frenchman boasts strong home form for the visit of Fulham. Diaby has one goal and four assists in his last four outings at Villa Park, including a 13-point haul against Luton Town in his last home match.

Anthony Gordon (Newcastle) £5.7m
The versatile attacker scored against Arsenal last week within five minutes of being moved up front. Gordon has been one of the most reliable players in the opening 11 Gameweeks of 2023/24, and has yet to blank in back-to-back appearances.

Erling Haaland (Man City) £14.0m
Manchester City’s forward looks back to his very best ahead of a visit to Chelsea, scoring twice in three of his last four appearances in all competitions. Away from home, Haaland’s 15 big chances are more than double the total of any other player in Fantasy.
Evan Ferguson (Brighton) £6.0m
The Brighton & Hove Albion striker hosts a Sheffield United side who have conceded at least twice in all five of their away matches this season. Ferguson is the Seagulls’ top-scoring player at home in 2023/24 with 34 points, bettering the 29 of Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m).
