The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts share their thoughts on their favourite forward options in light of Erling Haaland (£14.0m) unlikely to be available for Gameweek 17 and having a Blank Gameweek 18.

What the FPL experts say
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

Due to his high ownership from the start of the season, Haaland is the same price now as heading into Gameweek 1. This makes it easy to sell him and then buy him back after BGW18. So if he's unavailable for Gameweek 17, I'll sell for Dominic Solanke (£6.6m).

Pranil Sheth (@Lateriser12)

I currently own Haaland, Darwin Nunez (£7.6m) and Solanke. If Haaland is ruled out for a considerable amount of time, I'll be getting Ollie Watkins (£8.5m). For those that have Watkins already, I recommend bringing in Solanke as Bournemouth boast the perfect blend of form and fixtures right now.

Utkarsh Dalmia (@ZopharFPL)

I currently have Nunez and Haaland as my two forwards, and I will likely sell the Norwegian for Watkins, with the Gameweek 18 captaincy in mind when Aston Villa host Sheffield United. Then around Gameweek 19, after Manchester City's Blank, I will bring Haaland back by selling Nunez.

Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)

I'll likely sell Haaland for fit-again Callum Wilson (£7.8m) and use the money to get Kieran Trippier (£7.0m) when he returns from suspension. Despite Newcastle's last two results, their fixtures look good and a few players are coming back from injury.

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

Haaland out, Solanke in is a move I will likely be making. The move will be costing me two transfers however, as like most sellers I will be buying back before his plum Gameweek 20 fixture at home to Sheff Utd.

Pras (@Pras_FPL)

I own Haaland and Watkins and eventually I'd like to add Solanke to those two. If Haaland is out in the short term, this could be for him, or I could upgrade my third forward to Solanke and keep Haaland on the bench for the next two Gameweeks, so he is in place for Gameweek 19 and beyond.

Mark McGettigan (@FPLGeneral

I was happy with my front three of Haaland, Julian Alvarez (£6.9m) and Watkins until the Norwegian missed out in Gameweek 16. If he's a doubt for Gameweek 17, Solanke will be coming in for a couple of weeks before I Wildcard.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

I already planned to sell Haaland for Gameweek 18 to exploit the Blank. Now that he is unlikely to feature in Gameweek 17, I will almost certainly sell a week early and invest in either Solanke or Raul Jimenez (£5.3m), with the plan to move back to Haaland in Gameweek 19 or 20 depending on his availability, but probably for Cameron Archer (£4.6m), who is currently my third forward.
