Newcastle United continued their superb home form after comfortably dispatching 10-man Fulham 3-0 thanks to goals from Lewis Miley, Miguel Almiron and Dan Burn.
It was a contest that Newcastle dominated after Raul Jimenez was sent off in the first half for serious foul play.
A seventh straight home win moves Newcastle up to sixth, but the victory did come at a cost, as they suffered injuries to Fabian Schar and Joelinton.
How the match unfolded
Newcastle made two changes from their 2-1 midweek defeat to AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League, with Sean Longstaff coming in for Miley and Burn replacing the suspended Kieran Trippier. Sven Botman was also back in the squad for the first time since September, named among the substitutes after recovering from a knee injury.
They were also forced into another change in the opening 15 minutes as Schar, who had started every Premier League match this season, was forced off with a suspected hamstring injury.
Fulham were reduced to 10 men when Jimenez was sent off in the 22nd minute. The Mexican striker, who had scored three goals in his last two matches, clattered into Longstaff, and following a VAR review, Jimenez was brandished a red card, the fourth of his career.

Newcastle then started to dominate and were extremely unfortunate not to have gone in front through Anthony Gordon, who did superbly to bring down substitute Emil Krafth’s cross before striking against the crossbar.
There would be another blow for Newcastle as Joelinton was forced off, with Miley coming on in his place.
Another chance would come for Newcastle, but Longstaff was denied by Bernd Leno.
The Magpies eventually broke Fulham’s resistance in the 57th minute as 17-year-old Miley scored his first goal for the club, sliding the ball into the bottom-left corner.
Aged 17 years and 229 days old, Miley's goal meant he became the club's youngest-ever goalscorer in the Premier League.
Almiron then doubled Newcastle's advantage on 64 minutes, tapping in after the ball fell into his path.
Burn added a third goal with eight minutes remaining when he bundled in from close range at the second attempt after Leno initially saved his header.
Botman made his first-team return late on for Newcastle, welcome news for Eddie Howe given Schar's first-half injury.
A third consecutive away defeat drops Fulham down to 11th on 21 points.
