Here's what to look out for over the next seven days of festive football, with Premier League teams in action EVERY day from Tuesday.

Monday

The early focus has been on Nyon, Switzerland, where the last-16 UEFA Champions League draw took place at 11:00 GMT.

Arsenal and Manchester City have both discovered their opponents for the first knockout round.

The UEFA Europa League and Europa Conference League knockout playoff round draws are also on Monday, but no Premier League clubs are involved.

Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool, West Ham United and Aston Villa each won their groups in their respective competitions so they have bypassed this first knockout round, going straight into the last 16.

Early team news will also start to filter out ahead of Man City's FIFA Club World Cup semi-final against Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds in Saudi Arabia.

Closer to home, Newcastle United and three other Premier League clubs will be fine-tuning their preparations for Tuesday night's EFL Cup quarter-final ties. Managers including Chelsea's Mauricio Pochettino will be sharing their thoughts and latest news about player availability.

Tuesday

It's showtime for Pep Guardiola's City in their first ever foray into the Club World Cup. City are looking to become the first team in English history to win the quintet of Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in the space of 12 months.

Meanwhile, last season's beaten EFL Cup finalists Newcastle head to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea, with the Magpies aiming to go one step further in this season's competition.

Everton host Fulham in the cup looking for an eighth victory in 10 matches across all competitions.

Jurgen Klopp and David Moyes will provide the latest team news and their thoughts in preparation for Wednesday's EFL Cup tie when Liverpool and West Ham lock horns at Anfield.

Some clubs' managers will be holding their press conferences as Matchweek 18 of the Premier League fast approaches.

The EFL Cup action concludes at Anfield where Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch could miss out having hobbled off with a hamstring injury in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Manchester United.

Thursday

There's an early deadline in Fantasy Premier League this week, with FPL managers needing to make any transfers and confirm their line-up before 18:30 GMT.

Matchweek 18 then begins with Crystal Palace welcoming rivals Brighton in the "M23 derby" at 20:00 GMT.

Earlier in the day, Unai Emery and Chris Wilder are likely to address the media ahead of Aston Villa v Sheffield United on Friday night.

Friday

Villa welcome Sheff Utd in a huge match for both sides. Emery's team have won their last 15 matches at Villa Park, and should they extend that run to 16 they would go top of the league for at least a day.

The Blades, meanwhile, sit at the foot of the Premier League table and are six points off 17th-placed Nottingham Forest.

There will be more press conferences taking place ahead of matches on Saturday and Sunday, with managers providing the latest team news and updates.

Saturday

Six matches take place, with West Ham hosting Manchester United at 12:30 GMT. Four matches then get under way at 15:00 GMT before Anfield plays host to one of the biggest matches of the season as Liverpool host Arsenal in a battle between the current top two.

Premier League history will be made at Craven Cottage when Rebecca Welch will become the first woman to referee a match in the competition for Fulham's encounter with Burnley.

Sunday

For only the second time ever, a match is scheduled for Christmas Eve as Wolverhampton Wanderers face Chelsea at Molineux in the final fixture of Matchweek 18.
