This festive season, Premier League clubs have continued their commitment to supporting their communities with visits to hospitals and other places helping people.

We take a look a look at how clubs have been spreading festive cheer this Christmas.

Around 150 people were invited to Chelsea's long-running Christmas lunch at Stamford Bridge, provided in partnership with Chelsea Methodist Church, which gives year-round support for those in need through their community drop-in centre on King’s Road.

After the meal chefs packed up any leftovers for the guests to take home and share with others, while everyone left with a gift bag full of items, including warm clothing from the Chelsea Megastore and sanitary products provided by Unilever.

Former Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount now at Manchester United made a visit to Timperley Nursing Home, where he chatted with residents. Members of United's women's team including Lionesses star Ella Toone shared gifts with youngsters at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Brighton & Hove Albion players including Lewis Dunk and Jason Steele handed out gifts to residents and staff at Maycroft Manor, an assisted residence home, plus Chestnut Tree House, a local children's hospice.

West Ham United made a dream come true for Matt Weston, who served in Afghanistan with the Royal Engineers in the bomb disposal unit. Matt was stunned by a visit from Mark Noble, his late father's favourite player. It was a highly emotional meeting for both Matt and Mark.

AFC Bournemouth opened the doors at Vitality Stadium to welcome over 100 residents from Care South’s care homes, season-ticket holders, who were joined by former players David Stocks, Tommy Taylor and Hughen Riley for a Christmas Coffee morning.

Newcastle United Foundation, the charitable arm of Newcastle United, has delivered 250 activity packs, including customisable footballs, arts and crafts kits, sensory toys, books, STEM learning activities, and games for all the family, to children across the North East.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Orel Mangala sent a personal message to the children, their parents and the staff at Nottingham University Hospitals following the club's visit in which players gave out gifts.

In addition to their annual hospital visit, Tottenham Hotspur players added their support to Shelter by donating clothing to the charity, which helps people faced with homelessness and poor housing. The club used Saturday's match with Everton as a focus to encourage supporters to donate too.

The festive period coupled with school holidays puts extra pressure on families, and Spurs' Brennan Johnson and Eric Dier made a special delivery of essential items donated by the club to the North Enfield Foodbank.

Manchester City fans and staff gave support to young people across the city with their "The Greatest Season Of All" campaign, which has raised over £200,000 for the club's charitable arm, City in the Community.

In addition to visiting local hospitals and Pendleside Hospice, members of Burnley's squad made a trip to Burnley FC in the Community's Dementia Cafe, Casterton Primary School and Coal Clough Academy, where first-team players Charlie Taylor, Dara O'Shea and Lawrence Vigouroux, were joined by Under-18s Benji Wetshi and Logan Carlin for a memorable afternoon assembly.
