After Erling Haaland (£14.0m) returned from injury on Wednesday night for the first time since the beginning of December, Fantasy Premier League experts give their thoughts on whether it is time to bring the Manchester City striker back in, who to sell if so and whether it's time to go with with a 3-4-3 formation.
What the experts say
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Haaland was always in my team. In hindsight, selling him all those weeks ago would have been the right thing to do - but, now he's back, I'm happy he's there and I would recommend Fantasy managers move to bring him back. He's likely to be my captain for Gameweek 23.
Decision: Bring him in now

I don't think Julian Alvarez (£6.9m) gets dropped right away after his brace against Burnley and I think Man City will need Kevin De Bruyne's (£10.7m) creativity to break Brentford's deep block. Haaland may not start at Brentford and could only get some minutes off the bench again. So while he will likely be coming on for Alvarez, Ollie Watkins (£8.8m) or Dominic Solanke (£7.1m) have decent fixtures, so I think we can wait a week on Haaland.

Seeing Haaland being brought on against Burnley and not having him in my team was difficult to watch. In those 20 minutes alone he could have scored two goals. I only had Alvarez in my team to cover the absence of Haaland. Now the Norwegian is back, I am planning to swap them, especially as with De Bruyne and Haaland on the pitch, Alvarez will likely see his position on the pitch changed.

Haaland has to come back in and the only solution for me right now is for Alvarez. I'll probably leave it one more week, but it's an inevitable move.

Like most, I have money in the bank to bring Haaland back in. However, there is no guarantee of him starting at Brentford, and with De Bruyne and Phil Foden (£8.0m) already in place, I plan to wait until Gameweek 24 to transfer Haaland back in. This also gives me another week to decide on who he comes in for because I am still unsure which of Darwin Nunez (£7.5m), Solanke and Watkins will make way. For those that were planning on making an Alvarez to Haaland switch, again, I would be tempted to wait a week.
