Eight young players have been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for January 2024.
Nominees were selected by the Premier League Football Development Panel. The panel will also decide the winner, who will be announced next week.

Why the players are nominated
Ken Aboh: The Norwich City forward scored in all three of the Canaries' January PL2 matches. Aboh's goal against Manchester United in a 4-2 loss brought his 2023/2024 PL2 tally to an impressive 10 goals.
Caden Kelly: The 20-year-old midfielder scored his first goal this season in a 5-0 win against Nottingham Forest. Kelly also starred in a 3-1 win away to Leeds United, recording two assists in just five minutes.
Will Lankshear: Lankshear has continued to be among the goals for Tottenham Hotspur's dominant side. This month, the striker produced a brace against Southampton to continue Spurs' perfect start to the season. To end the month, Lankshear scored a hat-trick in a 5-3 win against Aston Villa.
Nathan Lowe: The 18-year-old started 2024 with an equalising goal in a 4-2 win against Norwich, before scoring a hat-trick and producing an assist in a 5-1 thrashing of Manchester City.
Sam Mather: The winger delivered a devastating display against Norwich, scoring all four goals in the 4-2 win.
Jimmy-Jay Morgan: Morgan returned for a second spell with the Blues in the January 2023 window, having enjoyed a successful spell with Southampton and secured a regular spot in England's U17 squad. This January, he scored a hat-trick in a comeback win against Reading.
Jacob Slater: The full-back joined Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023 from Preston North End and began 2024 with an assist in a win against Liverpool before ending the month by setting up another goal in a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.
Franco Umeh: The Republic of Ireland forward has represented his country at U17, U18 and U19 level. He has hit the ground running in 2024 after recording a brace which included a late equaliser against Blackburn Rovers and the winning goal in a 2-1 comeback victory against Brighton.
