Manchester United have suffered an injury blow with the news that striker Rasmus Hojlund will be out for up to three weeks with muscle injury that is likely to rule him out of the Manchester derby on 3 March.
Hojlund has been in excellent form, scoring in six consecutive Premier League matches, becoming the youngest player to do so.
But Erik ten Hag has ruled the 21-year-old out of Saturday's match against Fulham and possibly some matches that follow.
“It is a small injury, two to three weeks," Ten Hag said.
“That is what happens and the risk [when you are] playing at high intensity, training. As I say it is not a big injury, but he has to wait for one, two, three weeks.”
Man Utd's next four Premier League fixtures
After the match against Fulham, Man Utd travel to Nottingham Forest in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Wednesday before visiting Manchester City next Sunday in a match that could also have implications on the title race.
In addition to Hojlund's injury, Man Utd are set to be without Luke Shaw for several months after he sustained a muscle injury in last Sunday's victory at Luton Town.
Man Utd have been in excellent form of late, having won their last four matches in the league, and a fifth-straight win will put them level on points with Tottenham Hotspur, who do not play this weekend.
