The Scout explains the selection process behind the starting line-up for the latest Gameweek of FPL Challenge where forwards will score double points.

Tuesday full of in-form forwards

As forwards score double points in Gameweek 31 of FPL Challenge, it makes sense to have a three-man frontline.

There are a number of in-form strikers featuring on Tuesday evening, with Alexander Isak (£7.7m) looking like a must-have in Newcastle United's home match to to Everton.

The Swede has six goals, an assist and just a single blank in his last six appearances at St James’ Park. Indeed, Isak’s total of 46 points in his last six home matches places third among all players in Fantasy.

If you’re looking to save cash, Chris Wood (£4.8m) and Rodrigo Muniz (£4.7m) go head-to-head as Nottingham Forest take on Fulham, while Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta (£4.9m) faces AFC Bournemouth.

With many managers likely to heavily invest in three forwards to take advantage of the double points, Son Heung-min (£10.1m) could prove to be a differential in Tottenham Hotspur's match against West Ham United. The South Korean’s 10-point haul against Luton Town last weekend was his eighth double-figure return of the season.

Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Rayan Ait-Nouri (£4.6m) offers strong all-round potential against Burnley. The wing-back’s 24 points in his last four matches ranked fourth in his position in Fantasy.

Monitor Arsenal and Man City Wednesday teamsheets for differentials

Managers should keep an eye on the Arsenal and Manchester City team news on Wednesday evening in case rotation comes into play over the midweek round of fixtures.

Gunners’ trio Bukayo Saka (£9.0m), Kai Havertz (£7.2m) and Gabriel (£5.3m) can deliver huge hauls at home to Luton, while Gabriel Martinelli (£7.6m) can be another option if he returns to the first XI. The Brazilian has 30 points in his last three matches at the Emirates Stadium.

Handing the armband to Erling Haaland (£14.3m) means he is effectively a QUADRUPLE captain at home to Aston Villa. Goalkeeper Stefan Ortega (£3.7m) is now the cheapest starter in the game with Ederson (£5.5m) sidelined though injury.

Meanwhile, winger Jeremy Doku (£6.4m) could be a very handy option if he is recalled to the first-team by Pep Guardiola.

Liverpool’s home encounter with Sheffield United is one you don’t want to miss out on.

The Blades have conceded a league-high 77 goals, with 17 of those coming in their last five fixtures alone.

Full-back Conor Bradley is an absolute steal at a cost of only £4.2m as a route into Jurgen Klopp’s rearguard, with plenty of attacking potential.

Tripling up on their front three also looks like a very productive tactic, with up to five players per club allowed in FPL Challenge.

Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) is averaging 9.2 points per start at Anfield this season and has blanked in just one of those 11 appearances. Luis Diaz (£7.5m) also boasts strong home form; the Colombian has four goals, an assist and just one blank in his last five matches.

Darwin Nunez (£7.6m) has been less impressive of late but his appeal is boosted by the double points in Challenge.

Again, keep an eye on the Liverpool teamsheet before finalising your line-up – if the Uruguayan is benched on Thursday evening, Cody Gakpo (£7.2m) offers a similarly-priced replacement for the Reds.
