Double Gameweek 34 (DGW34) saw Jean-Philippe Mateta (£5.1m) register one of the biggest Gameweek scores ever in Fantasy Premier League.

Mateta scored four goals and supplied an assist across Crystal Palace's two matches against West Ham United and Newcastle United, claiming the maximum three bonus points in both games for a 29-point Gameweek score.

This phenomenal haul places the Palace forward joint-fifth on the all-time list alongside Mohamed Salah’s 29 points against Watford in Gameweek 31 of 2017/18 - the most points ever recorded in a single match - and Matty Cash’s 29 points from Double Gameweek 28 in 2021/22.

The biggest Gameweek score on record belongs to Wayne Rooney, who totalled 32 points back in Double Gameweek 22 of the 2009/10 season.

In Man Utd’s first match of the round, Rooney scored one and provided an assist as the Red Devils beat Burnley 3-0. He then netted four times the following weekend as United swept aside Hull City 4-0.

Two players have notched 31 points in a Gameweek.

Yaya Toure was the first to do so in 2013/14. He got his Double Gameweek 31 account underway with a hat-trick and 21 points in Manchester City’s 5-0 win over Fulham. He then took seven points from City's 3-0 derby victory over Manchester United three days later.

Harry Kane equalled his total in the penultimate round of the 2016/17 campaign.

Kane got off to a modest start in his opening game with seven points thanks to a goal and a bonus point as Tottenham Hotspur edged out Man United 2-1. But he then bagged four goals and an assist as Spurs won 6-1 at Leicester City for a further 24 points.

Over his career, Kane racked up 138 points against the Foxes, the most of any opponent he faced, averaging 8.6 points per match.

Kevin De Bruyne is the only other player to reach 30 points in a round of matches.

Man City scored 10 goals over their two contests in Gameweek 36 of 2021/22 Fantasy, putting five past Newcastle and Wolverhampton Wanderers. De Bruyne’s sole contribution to the win over the Magpies was an assist, but the second match proved more fruitful for his owners as he plundered four goals and 24 points at Wolves.

Sterling, Salah and Lampard rack up the points

That Gameweek also saw Raheem Sterling return 28 points as he combined three goals with an assist and five bonus points for Man City.

Salah and Frank Lampard have also recorded Gameweek scores of 28 points.

Liverpool star Salah did so in home matches against Leeds United and Norwich City in Double Gameweek 26 of 2021/22, thanks to three goals, an assist and five bonus points.

Lampard produced the same tally in a single match, with four goals and an assist in Chelsea’s 7-1 demolition of Aston Villa in 2009/10.

It was the second time the legendary midfielder had scored four times in a match, having first done so against Derby County in 2007/08.
