Phil Foden has spoken of his delight after surpassing a half-century of Premier League goals in Manchester City's 4-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday.

The midfielder scored twice in eight first-half minutes to reach his 50 and 51st goals in the competition, as City closed the gap on leaders Arsenal to just a point.

“It’s a great milestone to reach,” Foden told the club's official website.
“I’m really delighted at the moment with the position I’m playing and I keep finding the back of the net for the team.
“I keep wanting to trying to do that because when I find the net we seem to go and win games."
Foden is enjoying his best-ever season in the Premier League, having struck 16 times along with seven assists.
“I’m delighted with the way we’re playing and there are six matches left, so six more finals to go and I just want to help the team.
“I’m delighted to see the team win today and help with two goals.”
