Cody Gakpo dedicated his goal in Liverpool's 4-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield to his newly-born son Samuel as the Reds returned to winning ways.
“[Fatherhood] is good, very happy, very blessed. That [celebration] was one for my son," Gakpo told the club's official website.
“It was a good cross, that’s why! And yeah, I think a good header. Very happy with that one. It was a very good ball and I only had to head it in."
Gakpo, who has started three of his side's last four league matches, took his tally in all competitions to 15 with his goal on Sunday.
'I thought it was going over'
Harvey Elliott was also on the scoresheet for Liverpool, scoring the Reds' fourth goal with a scorching shot from distance.
“I thought it was [going] over, to be honest!" said Elliott on the club's official website.
“I didn’t know [it was going in] until I saw it drop at the end and it went in the back of the net. It’s about time I’ve scored a goal, I think I’ve hit the bar and post and everything in the last few games.
“It’s always nice to score, especially at Anfield.”
In what was Jurgen Klopp's penultimate home match, Liverpool kept alive their faint title hopes, leaving them five points behind leaders Arsenal, with two matches to play.
The Reds visit Aston Villa a week on Monday before Klopp's Anfield farewell against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday 19 May.
