Cole Palmer has won the 2023/24 Castrol Game Changer of the Season award.
Palmer claims the prize, given to the individual with the single most game-changing performance over the course of the campaign, for his two goals deep into second-half added time that inspired Chelsea to a sensational 4-3 win over Manchester United.
With his team trailing 3-2, Palmer converted a penalty, his second goal of the match, to equalise in the 10th minute of added time, before he completed a remarkable turnaround and his hat-trick 81 seconds later when his shot deflected off Scott McTominay before going in.
Having been behind with 99 minutes and 17 seconds played, it was the latest a team had ever been losing a Premier League match that they went on to win.
Palmer wins the award after receiving the most votes from the public and a panel of football experts, becoming the third player to win the prize after Reiss Nelson last season, and Ilkay Gundogan in 2021/22.
The Chelsea star topped a a six-man shortlist that also included Darwin Nunez, Ollie Watkins, Scott McTominay, Kevin De Bruyne and Stefan Ortega.
