Brighton & Hove Albion have announced the signing of winger Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle United.
After joining Newcastle last summer, the 19-year-old Gambian had a successful spell on loan at Feyenoord, where he scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 27 league appearances.

"Brighton is a club which I have watched in the Premier League," Minteh told the club's official website. "It's a good club for young players and the way the young players have progressed here is important for me.
“The Premier League back home in Gambia is huge.
“It's the thing everybody talks about, and everybody watches. I would say the whole country is happy for me and they have been supporting me since I played in Denmark."
The forward is the first signing of the summer for Brighton under new head coach Fabian Hurzeler.
Brighton’s first pre-season fixture is on 24 July against Kashima Antlers in Tokyo, Japan.
They then start their Premier League campaign on 17 August at Everton.

Who is Yankuba Minteh?
Minteh was born in Bakoteh, The Gambia. However, he learnt his trade playing for Danish Superliga side Odense Boldklub (OB).
After a brief stint for OB’s Under-19s and B team, Minteh was promoted to the first team, where he delivered four goals and six assists in 17 appearances.
Following a breakout season, Minteh was snapped up by Newcastle, before being sent on loan to Feyenoord.
Minteh featured 37 times for the Dutch club under the new Liverpool manager Arne Slot, where he starred in the UEFA Europa League and scored in the UEFA Champions League.
He can become the second Gambian to grace the Premier League after Modou Barrow for Swansea City.
Minteh has played seven times for Gambia since making his debut in 2022, scoring three goals.
