Southampton have signed Burnley left-back Charlie Taylor.
The 30-year-old has moved to St Mary’s Stadium on a two-year deal and is the second Southampton signing of the day after Taylor Harwood-Bellis joined from Manchester City.
Taylor will be reunited with Harwood-Bellis, the two playing together at Burnley in their Championship-winning 2022/23 season.
Last season Taylor made 28 Premier League appearances for Burnley, scoring one goal.

“Charlie brings a wealth of Premier League experience to the side which will be vital for us," Southampton manager Russell Martin told the club’s official website.
“He’s a great character who will fit into what we’re building here. Technically he’s a gifted passer of the ball and has versatility.
“I’m delighted we’ve brought him in. It’s going to take everyone again next season, so it’s important we have competition for places across the board.”
Taylor said his move to the south coast “feels like the right fit” and a chat with Martin impressed him.
“The way he talks about football is the way I like to see it too. Him being the manager was a massive pulling point,” he said.
“I feel as though it was too good an opportunity to turn down. Ever since I’ve come down here I’ve just had a good feel, surrounded by good people. It’s a huge club, back in the Premier League now. It’ll be a good experience for me.”

Southampton start their return to the Premier League at Newcastle United on Saturday 17 August.
