Thiago has announced his retirement from professional football, bringing an end to a glittering career.
The midfielder hangs up his boots aged 33 and made 68 Premier League appearances during his four seasons with Liverpool, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
I will always be willing to give back what I have been given and I am grateful for the time I have enjoyed it.

Thank you, football. And to all who accompanied me and made me a better player and person along the way.
See you soon,

Thiago joined Barcelona at the age of 16 and after playing for Barcelona B, made his first-team debut against Mallorca in 2009.
He won four league titles and one UEFA Champions League during his time with the Spanish giants under Pep Guardiola before following his manager to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2013.
Incredibly, Thiago won the Bundesliga in all six of his seasons spent in Germany and claimed a second Champions League winners' medal in his final campaign with the club in 2019/20.
He moved to Liverpool in September 2020 and more trophies followed, as he lifted the FA Cup in 2021/22, playing all 120 minutes in the final against Chelsea, scoring a penalty in the shootout after the match had ended goalless.
Thiago's injury-hit spell with Liverpool came to an end last month after his contract expired.
A Brazilian and Spanish citizen who was born in San Pietro Vernotico, Italy, Thiago decided to represent Spain, making his senior debut against Italy in 2011 and earning 46 caps, scoring twice.
