The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts are revealing their current 15-man squads ahead of the Gameweek 1 deadline on Friday 16 August at 18:30 BST.

Goalkeepers

Dean Henderson (£4.5m): This is one of the hardest positions to choose. Crystal Palace impressed at the end of last season with Henderson in goal, so he gets the nod.

Hakon Valdimarsson (£4.0m): I am planning to "set and forget" Henderson, starting him every week, so Valdimarsson frees up £0.5m over another first-choice goalkeeper.

Defenders

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.0m): With the opening fixtures that Liverpool have, Alexander-Arnold is worth the investment. Four of their first five matches score only two in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR).

3 MUN (A) 3

Josko Gvardiol (£6.0m): The end of last season saw Gvardiol deliver goals and assists from a new role at left-back. This is expected to continue into the new season.

Vitalii Mykolenko (£4.5m): Everton were a fantastic defence last season and Mykolenko provides the cheapest route into their backline.

Valentin Barco (£4.0m): The Brighton & Hove Albion defender rotates really well with Mykolenko. While Pervis Estupinan (£5.0m) is out injured, Barco is likely to fill-in at left-back, although it is not 100 per cent clear when Estupinan will return.

Wout Faes (£4.0m): My second £4.0m defender is Faes from Leicester City, who will be the final defender on my bench in most Gameweeks. Faes played 43 times in the Championship last season, as well as playing 90 minutes in all four of Belgium's matches at UEFA EURO 2024.

Midfielders

Mohamed Salah (£12.5m): Salah has an attacking return in every pre-season game so far and with the opening five fixtures for Liverpool looking so appealing, it is difficult to see myself going without him.

Eberechi Eze (£7.0m): I feel Eze has been underpriced. Comparing his data to the likes of Anthony Gordon (£7.5m) and Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m), he looks just as strong, but maybe his injury record is why he comes in cheaper than those two.

Christopher Nkunku (£6.5m): The Chelsea midfielder has impressed in pre-season and has a fantastic goalscoring record. He comes in at a nice price, and after facing Manchester City in Gameweek 1, the fixtures are very good.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (£5.5m): He finished last season well, and as a Chelsea fan, I know what the Nottingham Forest star is capable of!

Morgan Rogers (£5.0m): I'm planning to rotate Aston Villa's Rogers with Hudson-Odoi. Rogers looks to be starting on the left wing for Villa and has already scored three goals in pre-season.

Forwards

Erling Haaland (£15.0m): Chelsea in Gameweek 1 does not look so difficult considering he scored twice at Stamford Bridge last season and netted a hat-trick against them in pre-season. On current form, it would be hard to watch Haaland at home to Ipswich Town in Gameweek 2 without owning him.

Alexander Isak (£8.5m): The best-value player in the game. His goalscoring record, when fit and available, is fantastic at Newcastle. The Swede is likely to be my captain at home to Southampton in Gameweek 1, despite owning both Salah and Haaland.

Rodrigo Muniz (£6.0m): A great price for the Fulham forward, who found form in the second half of last season. Facing two promoted teams over the first three Gameweeks, Muniz and Fulham could get off to a great start.
