AFC Bournemouth have completed the signing of Barcelona right-back Julian Araujo on a five-year deal.
The 23-year-old, whose birthday is today, becomes the Cherries' seventh summer signing and adds further depth to Andoni Iraola’s squad ahead of the start of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

Who is Julian Araujo?
Araujo was born on 13 August 2001 in California, United States and started his career with LA Galaxy before moving to Barcelona in January 2023.
However, Araujo didn't make an appearance for Barcelona and was loaned out to LaLiga side Las Palmas last season where he made 25 league appearances.
Araujo has also been capped 13 times by Mexico but didn't feature in this summer's Copa America due to a hamstring injury.
Bournemouth's transfer activity
Araujo becomes becomes the seventh summer signing for Bournemouth, including the permanent transfers of Luis Sinisterra and Enes Unal, who both impressed during their loan spells at the club last season. The Cherries have also acquired Alex Paulsen, Daniel Jebbison, Koby Mottoh and Dean Huijsen.
When could he make his debut?
Bournemouth start the season on Saturday 17 August with a trip to Nottingham Forest.
