Erling Haaland is closing in on Sergio Aguero’s record for the most hat-tricks in Premier League history after hitting another treble in Manchester City’s 3-1 win over West Ham United.

The hat-trick was the Norwegian’s eighth in the competition, making him one of only seven players to achieve this feat.
And for the second time in his Premier League career Haaland has scored successive league hat-tricks, after netting three in City's last match against Ipswich Town.
The first time he accomplished this was in his debut season against Nottingham Forest and Manchester United.
Haaland has now moved past Wayne Rooney's seven hat-tricks and is level with Harry Kane, Thierry Henry and Michael Owen into joint-fourth position in the rankings after only 69 matches.
Haaland is now one behind the nine trebles scored by Robbie Fowler and is four off matching the 12 hat-tricks scored by Aguero for City.
