Sharing the matchday experience with like-minded fans is a key part of supporting a Premier League team.
But getting to live matches is not always realistic - especially when you live hundreds of miles away from the club you love.
For Patrick and Emma Nottage, finding other Tottenham Hotspur supporters living in the North West of England became a quest that turned into something bigger.
Patrick explains: "I was an avid Spurs fan whilst living in London. When I moved up to the North West to be with Emma, I was determined not to let my new location stop my support.
"With two hugely successful clubs in the area, it wasn't easy to find others to share the Spurs experience with."
After forming a Facebook group, the idea of creating an official North West Spurs Supporters' Club was born.
Soon Patrick and co-founder Mark Gore had decided to go for it, and as Emma adds, "The Supporters' Club has now taken over our lives!"
Whilst the Supporters’ Club organises trips to White Hart Lane and they were lucky enough to take part in the last ever tour of the ground, they were unable to get to the final match.
So they organised a gathering for the members of their Supporters' Club, which saw people from all over the region come to the Nottage's house to watch the live broadcast of the game.
"We have Sky Sports and BT Sport so that we can watch matches that we can't make it to," says Emma. "We all follow the team in different ways during the week - the kids use the laptop and various mobile apps to keep up to date. But getting together in front of the game on TV is always a great experience."
As Paul Meadowcroft, one of the Supporters' Club members at the Nottage's house for the emotional last game at White Hart Lane commented, "Win, lose or draw, the passion of the fans is still the same."
