The third round of the EFL Cup started on Tuesday as Premier League clubs involved in European action entered the competition.
Manchester United were among the teams to play their first match and the winners of the trophy in 2022/23 began their campaign by putting seven past League One side Barnsley on Tuesday.
This evening, Tottenham Hotspur avoided joining Fulham in exiting to lower-league opposition as they claimed a late turnaround win, scoring twice after the 87th minute to win at Championship club Coventry City.

When is the fourth-round draw?
The draw for the fourth round will be held after the third round’s final matches on Wednesday 25 September.
The fourth-round ties will take place in the week commencing 28 October, which falls between Matchweeks 9 and 10 in the Premier League.
