Few players have ever crossed a ball or played a long pass as well as David Beckham, a six-time Premier League champion with Manchester United who had one of the best deliveries ever seen in football.

But according to the man himself, there is one current Premier League player who can rival Beckham's right foot.

"If there was one player I look at, and I think he's very similar in the way he delivers the ball, he's very similar in the way he crosses the ball or passes, it has to be Trent [Alexander-Arnold]," said Beckham.

"His vision, he's unbelievable. And he's an exceptional player, but when I look at a player and I think I see myself in the way he puts the ball in, what he sees, in the long balls that he plays.

"He plays balls that some players don't even think about and that's what I love about him as a player."

Beckham was appearing on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, in which he also revealed his love for another young English star who plays on the right wing and wears the No 7 shirt made famous by Beckham.

"I love him as a person, firstly, but I love him as a player, and everything that he represents as a footballer, not just on the field but off the field as well," Beckham said when asked about Arsenal's Bukayo Saka.

"He's trying to make a difference in many different areas. I think he's a great No 7."
