Following their comeback 2-1 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Manchester City are now on the outright fourth longest unbeaten run by a team in Premier League history.

Man City have now gone 31 matches without losing in the competition, dating back to their 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa in December 2023. It sets a club record, beating their run of 30 matches that ended in 2018.

How far are Man City from the record?

Man City would need to go another 18 matches unbeaten to equal Arsenal's Premier League record of 49 games in a row without defeat, a run that stretched over three seasons, including their 2003/04 "Invincibles" campaign.

City are 10 away from going outright third on the all-time list and surpassing Chelsea's run of 40 matches unbeaten.

City's next 10 matches are against Southampton (H), AFC Bournemouth (A), Brighton & Hove Albion (A), Tottenham Hotspur (H), Liverpool (A), Nottingham Forest (H), Crystal Palace (A), Manchester United (H), Aston Villa (A) and Everton (H).

Guardiola features twice in top five

Man City's latest run has cemented manager Pep Guardiola's place among the greats.

He has overseen the fourth and joint-fifth longest unbeaten streaks by a team in Premier League history.

Guardiola is one of only three managers whose teams feature twice in the top 10, along with Jose Mourinho and Sir Alex Ferguson.

Mourinho, one ahead of Guardiola in the rankings for most consecutive matches unbeaten, is the only manager who has overseen a run of 25+ matches unbeaten with two different clubs.
