Brentford’s second goal against Ipswich Town on Saturday has now been awarded to Yoane Wissa.

The goal had initially been accredited as an own goal for Ipswich defender Harry Clarke, but this decision was appealed by Brentford.

As a result, the Premier League’s Goal Accreditation Appeals Panel of three football experts reviewed the footage and have determined that the goal should be credited to Wissa.

Brentford's second goal v Ipswich

The Bees won the match 4-3 at the Gtech Community Stadium, their fourth home win of the season.

It takes Wissa's goal tally for the season to five, taking the 28-year-old joint-eighth in goalscoring rankings.

An assist has been awarded to Mikkel Damsgaard, meaning the Denmark international has now created four goals for team-mates this season.

The decision means Clarke escapes the unwanted title of becoming the second player in history to score an own goal, concede a penalty and be sent off in the same Premier League match.

What happens in Fantasy Premier League?

There will be no change to the points awarded to players in Fantasy Premier League in Gameweek 9.

Gameweek 9 closed once points were finalised on Sunday 27 October after the Arsenal v Liverpool match.

The "Scoring" section of the FPL rules say: "For the avoidance of doubt, points awarded in-game are subject to change up until one hour after the final whistle of the last match of the Gameweek. Once the points have all been updated on that day, no further adjustments to points will be made unless under extraordinary circumstances."
