Sporting head coach Ruben Amorim says his situation will soon "be very clear" after his club publicly confirmed they have received an approach from Manchester United for his services.
Speaking last night after Sporting's 3-1 win over Nacional, Amorim told the Reuters news agency: "There's nothing to talk about. There's the club statement, everyone knows about it. It was said by the club. For the rest, we don't know the exact details. We'll see.
"There is an intention on the part of the club [United], which is in talks with Sporting, but it will always be my decision. Talking about it now is just creating noise for the club and this whole situation.
"I can't promise anything. What I do know is that I'll be at training tomorrow and I'll be preparing for the league game with Estrela da Amadora on Friday."
'It will be very clear'
When questioned further by Sky Sports, Amorim added: "We have to wait a little bit more to explain everything I need to explain, and then everything, it will be very clear. It's my decision. I will tell everything. So we have to wait. That's it."
Asked whether he might be in charge of Man Utd for Sunday's Premier League match against Chelsea, Amorim said: "I will be here [at Sporting]."
But when he was asked if that will definitely be the case, he replied: "I don't know."
