In a link-up of two generations, club legend Gianfranco Zola met current star Cole Palmer at the Blues' Cobham training ground.
Since the Mancunian moved to London, his skilful flicks and stunning goals have earned him comparisons with Zola, though the 22-year-old admitted he only knew of the Italian icon through football video game EA FC.
In an encounter recorded for our latest PL Masterclass video, the pair exchanged compliments before practising their close control, kick-ups and free-kicks.
Zola praised the younger player's ability to outthink opponents, while Palmer reflected on how he sharpened his skills when he was growing up.
They also watched clips of each other's goals, discussing the thought-process behind their execution, and deciding whose strikes were better.
