David Moyes made history in Everton’s match on Saturday at Brighton & Hove Albion, becoming only the third person to manage 700 Premier League matches.
The landmark has been achieved by only two others: Premier League Hall of Famers Arsene Wenger, who managed 828 matches at Arsenal, and Sir Alex Ferguson, with 810 matches at Manchester United.
The Scot’s first match in the competition was in charge of Everton against Fulham on 16 March 2002, a 2-1 victory.
"It's incredible really,” Moyes said before the match. “When you start out, I don't think you ever believe you will become a Premier League manager but to get 700 games behind me is a fair achievement, I am very pleased.
"There's two great managers ahead of me in Arsene and Alex. I don't think I'll be making their numbers, that's for sure."
Tomorrow, David Moyes will take charge of his 700th @premierleague game - a feat only two other managers have achieved. 👏
