Our mission is to accelerate positive environmental change across the League and through engagement with fans and community participants.
We plan to achieve this by delivering on the three strategic priorities set within our Environmental Sustainability Strategy.
Strategic priorities

Premier League Environmental Sustainability Commitment
The Premier League Environmental Sustainability Commitment introduced a minimum standard of action on environmental issues across clubs and the League.
The Commitment outlines four operational measures, which build on existing action made by clubs to reduce their environmental impact and provides a foundation to underpin long-term environmental ambitions.
The Commitment will see each club and the Premier League:
1. Develop a robust environmental sustainability policy, by the end of Season 2024/25
2. Designate a senior employee to lead the club’s environmental sustainability activities
3. Develop a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions dataset (scope 1, 2 and 3) by the end of Season 2025/26 and work towards a standardised football-wide approach to measuring emissions
4. Support the development of a common framework for action via the Premier League Sustainability Working Group (PLSWG)
The measures were developed following extensive consultation with clubs and the Premier League Sustainability Working Group, which was established in 2023 to help shape and inform environmental practices across the League.
