REVEALED: February's Premier League monthly awards winners

The winners of February 2025's EA SPORTS Player, Barclays Manager, Guinness Goal and Premier League Save of the Month awards have been revealed. 

Salah matches record for EA SPORTS Player of the Month award

Mohamed Salah has won February's EA SPORTS Player of the Month award, earning the prize for the SEVENTH time to equal the record held by Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero.

Salah's accolade comes following a record-breaking month for the Liverpool star, who led the way in thre Premier League in February for goal involvements, with 10.

The Egyptian kicked off February by scoring both goals in Liverpool's 2-0 victory at AFC Bournemouth, following up with strikes against Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa.

Salah played a starring role in a 2-0 win over Manchester City, becoming the first Premier League player to score and assist in both matches against the reigning champions in a season.

His assist for the second goal against Newcastle United in a 2-0 home success was Salah's 17th of 2024/25, two more than the record for a Liverpool player in a single Premier League season and three off the all-time mark for an entire campaign.

It is the second time this season Salah has earned the monthly accolade, having also done so in November 2024.

It is the first time since 2022/23 that a player has won the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award more than once in a campaign, when Erling Haaland and Marcus Rashford did so that season.

Salah topped a six-man shortlist after the public's votes on the EA SPORTS website were combined with those of a panel of football experts.

Moyes named Barclays Manager of the Month

David Moyes has been named the Barclays Manager of the Month for February 2025, winning the award for the 11th time in his career.

Everton's manager moves joint-third in the all-time list, level with Pep Guardiola, with only Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger claiming the award on more occasions.

It is the first time that Moyes has won the accolade since March 2013, when he was in the final months of his first spell in charge of Everton.

“For me to join a club and, near enough in my first month, get Manager of the Month is more to do with the commitment of the players, their attitude and the way they've worked. They've been fabulous, the players,” Moyes said on the club's website.

“I'm really thrilled because the names of the people who are up there are unbelievable coaches and managers. 

“I think from my point of view, having the longevity and probably being in the Premier League for a long time, has given me probably more chances to win it.

"But to try to win it with the level of competition that there is in the Premier League – there are so many good coaches; there are so many good new young coaches on the field now that it's a big challenge.”

Most Barclays Manager of the Month awards

The 61-year-old has continued his transformation of Everton since taking charge in January for his second spell at Goodison Park, enjoying an unbeaten February to finish the month 15 points clear of the relegation zone.

Moyes oversaw a 4-0 victory over Leicester City to begin the month, following up with a dramatic 2-2 derby draw against league leaders Liverpool before beating Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

A hard-fought 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United and share of the points in a 1-1 draw at Brentford saw Everton finish the month without defeat.

Mitoma wins Guinness Goal of the Month award

Kaoru Mitoma's sensational strike for Brighton & Hove Albion against Chelsea has won the February 2025 Guinness Goal of the Month award. 

Mitoma produced an incredible piece of control to bring down Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen's long pass before dribbling away from Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah and whipping an unstoppable low finish past Filip Jorgensen from just outside the box. It was the first goal in a 3-0 win for Brighton.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said of Mitoma’s control: “The touch is as good as anything we will see in the Premier League this season. It’s [Lionel] Messi-like.”

Mitoma's strike was also lauded by his head coach Fabian Hurzeler: “If I look back on my career, I don’t know if I ever saw something like this as a coach from my own player, because it was very special," said Hurzeler.

The 27-year-old has scored 17 Premier League goals for Brighton and this is his second Guinness Goal of the Month win, having become the first Japanese player to claim a Premier League monthly award with his superb strike against Wolverhampton Wanderers that earned August 2023's accolade.

Mitoma is now just one Guinness Goal of the Month award behind Andros Townsend and Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, both of whom jointly hold the record for most wins, with three each, since the award started in 2016/17.

Kepa wins Save of the Month award

AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has won February 2025's Premier League Save of the Month award for his stunning stop against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Kepa produced an incredible reflex save to deny Jean-Ricner Bellegarde's follow-up after Nelson Semedo's initial shot had hit the bottom of a post.

The Bournemouth goalkeeper was on the floor having reacted to Semedo's initial shot, scrambling up to repel Bellegarde's near-post effort with his left hand. 

It is the second time the Spaniard has claimed the award, having first done so with Chelsea in October 2022 when his brilliant stop denied Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey, his save going on to win the 2022/23 Save of the Season too.

Kepa now moves joint-second in the all-time list of winners behind Manchester United's Andre Onana, who has earned the prize on three occasions, since the award started in 2022/23.

Most Premier League Save of the Month awards

His success is also the third time a Bournemouth player has won a monthly award this season, following Justin Kluivert and David Brooks, who took January's EA SPORTS Player of the Month and Guinness Goal of the Month accolades, respectively.

Cherries' head coach Andoni Iraola also was named the Barclays Manager of the Month last month.

Kepa's save topped a shortlist of six of the best across the month. He wins the award after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of experts.
