The Wrap: What happened in Matchweek 29

Bruno Fernandes continued his inspirational form for Manchester United by being involved in all three of their goals in Sunday's 3-0 win at Leicester City.

Fresh from scoring a hat-trick against Real Sociedad in the UEFA Europa League last Thursday, Fernandes sealed the victory at King Power Stadium with another brilliant strike.

Earlier in the contest, the Man Utd captain set up his young team-mates Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho to end their respective goal droughts.

Those two assists mean Fernandes now has 50 in the Premier League, and 80 in all competitions since his debut for Man Utd in February 2020. Only Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne has more for one club in Europe's top five leagues during that period, with 90.

Amid his celebrations after Newcastle United's EFL Cup final triumph, Alan Shearer, the Premier League's record goalscorer, has selected Fernandes in his Team of the Week for Matchweek 29. Another Portuguese, Marco Silva, is picked as the manager following Fulham's fine win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Shearer TOTW 29

Mark Flekken (Brentford)
"You need your goalkeeper to play well to win away from home and Flekken did that, making some big saves to deny David Brooks, Antoine Semenyo and Marcus Tavernier."

Jurrien Timber (Arsenal)
"Played his part in the clean sheet, but also got forward from right-back to cause Chelsea problems with his crosses."

Nikola Milenkovic (Nottingham Forest)
“Scored the first goal at Ipswich, but not with his head as you'd expect from such a powerful centre-back. Took the ball down and smashed it in."

Pervis Estupinan (Brighton)
"What a wonderful free-kick for Brighton's first equaliser at the Etihad Stadium. Also had a good battle with Man City's right-winger Savinho.”

Christian Norgaard (Brentford)
“The Dane put in a great shift in midfield and grabbed the winner as Brentford came from behind to beat AFC Bournemouth."

Andreas Pereira (Fulham)
"One of the creative sparks in an improving Fulham side. Set up the opener for Rodrigo Muniz, just when Spurs looked like they might nick the win."

Anthony Elanga (Nottingham Forest)
“A magnificent display from the Swede, who scored two wonderful goals, causing the Ipswich defence no end of problems from a more central role.”

Omar Marmoush (Man City)
"Starting to build a promising partnership with Erling Haaland. Won the penalty that the Norwegian netted before he rifled home for his fourth goal in seven matches."

Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd)
"A real captain's performance. Scored his eighth goal of the season and set up Hojlund and Garnacho for United's first two goals."

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (Wolves)
"What a performance and what a big win for Wolves. He has been transformed since Vitor Pereira took charge - two crucial assists is testament to that."

Jorgen Strand Larsen (Wolves)
"The Norwegian delivered under pressure, scoring two clinically taken goals that should ease Wolves’ relegation worries."

Manager: Marco Silva (Fulham)
“His substitutions changed the match, with Muniz and Ryan Sessegnon both scoring off the bench. Fulham had huffed and puffed, but finally blew Spurs away to keep their European dream on track."
