Andy Robertson described developments as "a wee bit surreal" after completing his move from Hull City to Liverpool on Friday.
The left-back has signed a long-term deal with the Merseysiders for an undisclosed fee.
"It feels a wee bit surreal," Robertson told Liverpoolfc.com. "There’s not many, if any, more special clubs than Liverpool.
"When you grow up as a kid you dream of playing with big clubs such as Liverpool and to make that a reality is a dream come true for me."
The 23-year-old is Liverpool’s third summer signing, following the arrivals of Dominic Solanke and Mohamed Salah.
Robertson played 33 times in the Premier League for Hull and netted his first goal in a 2-1 win over West Ham United in April.
His new team-mates are preparing to play against Leicester City in the Premier League Asia Trophy final on Saturday.
The Scotland international will be hoping to make his first appearance at Watford on Saturday 12 August.
