West Bromwich Albion have announced the signing of midfielder Gareth Barry from Everton.
The 36-year-old has agreed an initial one-year contract, with the option to extend his deal, to join the Baggies for an undisclosed fee.
“I want to help the team improve, work hard and hopefully add quality," Barry told wba.co.uk.
Barry, who has also played for Aston Villa and Manchester City, is just five matches from breaking the Premier League appearances record of 632 set by Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs.
Barry could make his West Brom debut when they travel to face Burnley on Saturday 19 August.
