Marcus Tavernier scored a 20-minute hat-trick as Middlesbrough defeated Norwich City 4-0 at Heritage Park.
Lewis Wing made the breakthrough when he curled his shot in from 25-yards after 16 minutes.
Five minutes later, Tavernier got his first, smashing in from the penalty spot to double the lead.
Tavernier soon had his second after an excellent through ball and then completed his treble with a simple tap-in before half-time.
Tristan Abrahams' shot was cleared off the line for Norwich, but that was as close as it got for the Canaries.
Next up for Middlesbrough is a home match with Newcastle United and Norwich host Stoke City.
