Harry Wilson scored the equaliser as Liverpool came from behind to draw their opening Premier League Cup Group G contest 1-1 with Charlton Athletic.
Terrique Anderson had put the home side ahead after 16 minutes with a fine finish at The Valley.
The visitors were level three minutes before half-time, when Wilson tapped in his sixth goal of the season.
Danny Ings twice came close after the break but neither side could find a winner.
Charlton are away to Stoke City in Group G on Friday 3 November while Liverpool are at home to Bristol City two days later.
