Burnley climbed into fourth place as substitute Ashley Barnes struck a late winner against Stoke City at Turf Moor.
Mark Hughes’s team made the stronger start, with Peter Crouch hitting a post and Kurt Zouma volleying at Nick Pope inside the opening seven minutes.
The chances then dried up in wet and cold conditions.
Sean Dyche brought on Barnes in the 71st minute and, with just one minute of normal time remaining, the forward found the net with a powerful effort from Scott Arfield's layoff to secure the points.
Burnley go above Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool into fourth. Stoke remain 15th, three points off the relegation zone.
