Crystal Palace defender Mamadou Sakho has suffered a serious muscle tear in his calf and is out of action indefinitely.
Right-back Joel Ward will also miss the match after tweaking his calf, but Yohan Cabaye is available after shaking off a knock.
Watford are without left-back Marvin Zeegelaar, who is suspended for three matches after a failed appeal against a red card.
Miguel Britos and Kiko Femenia have minor problems and are doubtful.
