Antonio Valencia is celebrating reaching 300 Premier League appearances but his debut in the competition for Wigan Athletic 11 years ago remains a fresh memory.
"I was very nervous, I was 19 years old, I was in a new country and competition," the Manchester United right-back says. "The only thing I wanted to do was to play and do it right."
That first match in 2006 was against Newcastle United, coincidentally the same opponents he faced when reaching No 300 in November.
"I never thought that I was going to play 300 matches and I am very happy," Valencia said holding his Premier League Milestone Award. "I hope there are many more to come."
