Match summary

24 Feb 2018
West Bromwich Albion v Huddersfield Town

Steve Mounie scored the decisive goal as Huddersfield Town beat West Bromwich Albion 2-1 at The Hawthorns.

Huddersfield had taken the lead three minutes after the break when Rajiv van La Parra's mishit shot bobbled into the far corner.

An excellent pass from Alex Pritchard split the Baggies defence and Mounie timed his run well before slotting beneath Ben Foster to double the lead on 56 minutes.

On 64 minutes Craig Dawson beat Jonas Lossl to a corner but his header proved a mere consolation for West Brom.

Consecutive wins for the first time since August move David Wagner's side up to 14th on 30 points.

West Brom remain bottom, seven points from safety.
