The Premier League Fans Fund is a commitment from the Premier League to fund projects and organisations which improve the relationship between fans and their clubs, the way football supporters engage with each other and fans' experience of the game. The Fund is delivered by the Football Foundation.
The Fans Fund offers grants of up to £20,000 for projects that look to address the aims of the scheme.
Project Criteria
- The duration of a funded project would range from a one off event/campaign, to a project running over a period of three years
- Projects that strengthen the relationship between professional clubs and their fans will be favoured
- Applicants must discuss potential projects with, and have support from, associated Clubs before an application is submitted
The Fans Fund has previously supported a supporters trust as they carried out research with three groups that had not traditionally supported the club. The research aimed to inform the development and delivery of a number of new initiatives to engage supporters. Ultimately the project would aim to grow the fan base and attract new supporters.
Another project delivered with help of the Fans Fund was the extension of a Walk in Centre's opening hours for supporters as well as increasing the resources for volunteers, with the aim of improving the access and communication between supporters and the Club.
