Watford have made Liverpool striker Jerome Sinclair their first signing since Walter Mazzarri’s appointment as manager.
The 19-year-old forward, whose contract at Anfield expired today, has agreed a five-year deal at Vicarage Road, moving for an undisclosed fee.
Compensation would have been required as he is under the age of 24, but a transfer agreement has been made between the two clubs.
Sinclair made two Premier League appearances for Liverpool in the 2014/15 campaign, two seasons after becoming the youngest player to represent the club when he featured in the League Cup against West Bromwich Albion at September 2012, aged just 16 years and six days.
The striker, who has scored for both England Under-16s and Under-17s, was a mainstay of the Reds' Under-21 Premier League side until his departure.
Sinclair could make his debut in a friendly fixture against Woking on 10 July, while the Hornets begin the 2016/17 Premier League campaign with a trip to Southampton on Saturday 13 August.
