Leicester City have announced the signing of Spanish defender Luis Hernandez on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old will officially join the Foxes from La Liga side Sporting Gijon on 1 July and has agreed a four-year deal.
Hernandez becomes Claudio Ranieri's second signing of the summer after goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler from Hannover 96.
A central defender, Hernandez is a product of the Real Madrid youth academy and moved to Sporting Gijon in 2012. He has amassed nearly 140 Liga appearances and will bolster Leicester's defence ahead of their first UEFA Champions League campaign.
The Madrid-born player will join his new team-mates when the champions return to training next month.
Leicester City's pre-season fixtures include meetings with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in the International Champions Cup.
Leicester will also play Manchester United in the FA Community Shield at Wembley on 7 August before travelling to newly-promoted Hull City to begin their title defence six days later.
